District 1 commissioner since December 2014. Seeking a fourth term. Age 57, Lusby. Grew up in Calvert County and graduated from Calvert High School. Businessman with over 30 years of experience. Owns and operates Patuxent Wine & Spirits and Barrel 9 in Lusby. Calvert County's first triple-A bond rating was achieved during his first term and has been maintained since. Longtime supporter of county charitable and educational organizations. Won the Republican District 1 primary with 58.17% of the vote (3,834 votes) over Patrick Flaherty and Jennifer Brown.

When filing in late 2025, stated he had "an open mind" but could not "sign off on anything detrimental to the environment." His subsequent votes and statements reflect a hardened opposition through 2026.
