Background
Born and raised in Northeast Baltimore City. Graduated Paterson High School, 1984. Served 20 years with the Baltimore City Fire Department at Engine Company 13, retiring as a firefighter. Founded a home improvement business with his wife in 1998, then moved to Calvert County to raise their family. Active community volunteer. Provides daily care for his father, who has Lewy body dementia. Resides at 1985 Kings Landing Rd, Huntingtown. Defeated incumbent Mark Cox Sr. in the Republican District 2 primary with 65.80% of the vote (4,392 votes).
Position on data centers
Campaign website leads with: "STOP DATA CENTERS! Data centers will cost Calvert County residents outrageous amounts of money. They will destroy our beautiful waterways and ruin the watermen's livelihoods. They release by-products and are a huge harm to our health."
At May 14 Republican forum: stated he is a "hell no" on data centers in Calvert County.
Also stated: "Commissioner Cox, we do not need 4 more years of lies, deception, and non-transparency. Time for new leadership!"
Initially filed for At-Large before switching to District 2 to challenge incumbent Mark Cox Sr.
